Lead-Free Mixed Technology Rework Course

This comprehensive course encompasses the skills necessary to perform rework of lead-free printed circuit boards (PCBs) to include both through-hole and surface mount technologies (SMT). During this course, the student will be introduced to the concept of electrostatic discharge and control methods, component identification, workmanship standards, and lead-free hands-on soldering and desoldering techniques utilizing state of the art materials and tools. This course is structured to be in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711.

Upon completion of the course, students receive a BEST certificate of completion.

  • IPC Class 2 workmanship standards
  • Lead-free Through-Hole soldering
  • Lead-free Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering

This is a 5-day, customizable primarily hands-on course. It is an advanced skills course, designed to teach selected content to soldering techs who have some experience in soldering.
