While IPC-A-610 offers the skills required to identify target, process indicator and defect conditions found on PCB assemblies, it offers no practical inspection skills. A recently-developed BEST inspection skills class offers a full day course to augment the skills learned and tested in IPC-A-610.
Class instruction is designed to teach attendees the skills of inspection and how to develop inspection strategies for a PCB. Class participants will learn and be taught skills in inspection of throughhole, SMT components as well as wires and cables using real assemblies. Students and their instructor will get a chance to learn from each other as experiences are exchanged while discussing classroom findings.
