Lead Free Mixed Technology

This comprehensive course encompasses the skills necessary to perform rework of electronic printed circuit boards to include bothe throughhole and surface mount technologies. During this course, the student will be introduced to the concept of electrostatic discharge and control methods, component identification, workmanship standards and hands-on soldering and Desoldering techniques utilizing state of the art materials and tools. This course is structured to be in accordance with IPCA-610 and IPC 7711.

Upon completion of the course, students receive a BEST certificate of completion.

Topics Include:

• ESD
• Component ID
• IPC Class 2 workmanship standards
• Through-hole soldering
• Surface mount soldering

This is a 5-day, customizable primarily hands-on course. It is a n advanced skills course, designed to teach selected content to soldering techs who have some experience in sldering. Students will demonstrate soldering skills.

Teach candidate who successfully completes the instructor training and examination will receive the following materials to conduct further operator training:

• Completion of functioning “kit”
