IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS

The IPC/WHMA-A-620 Operator/Inspector training is designed to improve individual “discrimination” skills; that is, to improve accuracy of discriminating between an “acceptable” or “not acceptable” cable or wire harness assembly per the IPC/WHMA-A-620 document. This program will also teach individuals accept/reject criteria to enhance their ability to consistently and correctly apply the discrimination criteria.

Topics Include:

  • Wire Preparation
  • Soldered and Crimped Terminations
  • Insulation Displacement
  • Ultrasonic Welding and Splicing
  • Molding/Potting
  • Cable Assemblies-Coaxial & Twinaxial
  • Wire Bundle Securing & Shielding

This is a 4-day, lecture course that teaches students the accept/reject criteria in the IPC-A-620, for all three classes of cable and wire harness assembly. Additonal hands-on instruction in wire and cable assembly can be added to the coursework.

What you will receive

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • A Student Handbook
  • IPC Certificate of Training valid for 24 months (if a passing grade on the test material is achieved)
