Q: How many times can I re-use the HeatShields™?
A: We have used this material in our contract rework and repair business for several years. We find that it can withstand 15-20 reflow cycles and handlings (taping and un-taping) before needing to be “refreshed”.
Q: How do I apply these to my PCB?
A: The HeatShield™ material can be placed on the PCB by using high temp Kapton™ tape.
Q: How do I cut the HeatShield™ material?
A: We suggest using a sharp razor blade or scissors to cut the non-woven material. Make sure you are cutting this in a well-ventilated area.
Q: Can you custom cut the HeatShield™ material in to shapes that I need for running production boards?
