BEST soldering geeks enable electronics companies to be more effective through professional instruction, tools and taking secondary assembly projects off your plate
We are in the season of apple picking in the Midwest as the beautiful colors paint the sky-fiery reds, oranges and yellows are everywhere!
BEST is back to work after our BTC seminar (see right) where we played bocce and were able to get some strong "take aways" from our great speakers.
BEST is now activating a referral rewards program. Several of you have been so kind to refer us on to friends. You will now be given a $25.00 gift certificate if a new customer calls and places an order based on a referral or if you send us an email (info@solder.net) giving us a "heads up" that someone is sending us work. Thanks for your referrals!
Wishing you continued success.

Selective Laser Mask Removal "Saves" Boards
Example laser etched trace filled over with solder mask
There are times when a test point gets missed, a Gerber connection is not made or a trace needs to be extended. You may end up with thousands of boards that under normal conditions would have to be scrapped. BEST laser technicians can design a "fix" by selectively ablating the solder mask off in certain areas of the board. In some cases, missing copper patterns can be "added back" where they were missing. More information on the laser ablation process can be found here.
New Video on Repairing Solder Mask
Solder Mask Repair Technique
BEST Inc.instructor Norman Mier describes how to repair large solder mask areas after solder mask has been damaged underneath BGAs or if a larger area of several boards needs to be repaired.
