Wishing you and your family a Happy Healthy New Year!
Highlighted in this newsletter are some of our newest training services offerings. For flexible, cost- effective IPC A-610 recertifications our on-line programs have been upgraded to reflect the changes to the new "D" revision. We are also excited about our new Mobile Training Center virtual tour. If you haven't seen the MTC in a while we invite you to take a visual and audio tour. We have also added the third in our series of lead-free on-line/LAN-based training programs for wave soldering.

In 2006 BEST will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary. We are in the midst of planning a celebration to mark the event and will let you know of the details as they unfold.

    See you at APEX!

A-610 Recertification for Rev "D" On Line

As the date for RoHS compliance draws near and the demand from customers to begin building "lead- free" assemblies increases, the need for training on acceptability criteria of PCBs is becoming more acute. These acceptance criteria amongst other upgrades to the A-610 specification are outlined in the latest A-610 standard.

BEST has upgraded its on-line recertification program to include this new "D" revision. Now you have the flexibility to have CIS (operator level) or CIT (instructor level) recertifications at a time convenient for you! This is a cost- effective way to have your certifications completed when you want and not just when the instructor or classroom is available.

Now you can get the "feel" of the BEST Mobile Training Center (MTC) right on your desktop. This new virtual tour brings the pictures and sounds of the interior of the MTC to life.

When you don't have the the equipment or space available for solder training, the BEST Mobile Training Center can come to you. From the tip of New York to the southern end of Texas the MTC, led by BESTs' professional instructor core, has trained hundreds of solder technicians. It is the best of both worlds as the students can be back in their own beds in the evening after being exposed to the latest in soldering techniques and equipment without having to spend time and money on travel.

The BEST Mobile Training Center offers each student over 6 sq. ft. of workspace, state-of-the-art soldering equipment, large LCD panels for reviewing magnified instructor demonstrations, stereo zoom microscopes and a sound system to easily hear the instructor.
