Through Hole Repair Kit
|
|

| BEST Through-hole repair kits are designed by artisans who have been
repairing circuit boards for many years, therefore the right tools have
been included in this general through-hole repair kit. This kit
includes a large number of flat flange eyelets in a good variety of
sizes, which are recommended when a low profile or clearance factor is
required. The swage tool base and fixture allow for easy replacement
of these eyelets. Professional stainless steel tweezers grab and hold
the eyelets while you are replacing or repairing plated through-holes
making the repair process simpler.

Dear Subscriber;

Uur
newest analytical tools include a high-powered 300X microscope with
DIC. This will allow us to help you diagnose process problems you
have via a dye and pry or cross-sectioning process.
If you are near the Detroit or Northern Ohio
areas we invite you to either our IPC A-610D CIS training class
to become certified or attend the technical discussion on the
"Nuiances of IPC A-610D" at the end of September. Our
family clan just returned from an RV vacation visiting several national
parks in the West. After much family time and lots of fresh air it was
time to return home. We did not have the adventures of the Munro family
in the movie "RV" but did have an enjoyable-action packed vacation. In
response to this experience please find a fun RV story at the end of
this newsletter.
Best wishes for a fun summer,

Cross Sectioning to Diagnose Process Problems

BEST Inc provides microsectioning services
along with professional advice to help you get to the root of process
problems. While some types of PCB of PCB assembly defects are visible,
many times their extent can only be realized when microsectioning of
the suspect area is done. Armed with this information suppliers can be
brought into the problem-solving equation and manufacturing engineering
can more quickly get to the root of the problem area.

The Parrot That Wouldn't Shut Up
Marty, an RV'er , travels in his motorhome with a talkative
but foul-mouthed parrot. One day in a campground near Albuquerque, New
Mexico, the bird's swearing got to be too much. So Marty grabbed it by
the throat and yelled "Stop it!" But only minutes later, the bird was
swearing again.
The next day, the bird yelled so loudly that the couple next door in a
large Winnebago came by to demand its silence. Desperate, Marty
locked the bird in a kitchen cabinet. But it didn't help: the bird kept
right on swearing. The next day, the bird was even worse. So, as a last
resort, Marty tossed it into his spacious freezer inside his RV. After five
minutes, all was quiet. Worried the bird might be freezing, Marty took
it out. "I'm sorry," confessed the suddenly polite bird. "I promise to
never swear again."
Marty was astonished. He couldn't understand the change in attitude.
"By the way," asked the parrot, "what did the chicken do?"
