Dear Electronics Colleague:

I had the privilege last month of visiting Georgia Tech as part of my son's "vetting" of engineering schools. They had a great area for ME's where laser cutting, water jetting, 3D printing and other technologies could be used by students for their inventions and classes. Thanks to the students who showed us around-it was very inspiring!

IPC Certification Detroit, MI

BEST has put together its IPC training center in the Detroit area. For those customers in the Detroit area, including neighboring Cleveland, Toledo, Toronto and Northeast IN, we invite you to train closer to your "home". BEST will be instructing students in IPC A-610, A-620 J-STD-001, 7711/21, as well as other BEST solder training classes in this location.

BEST Can provide stencils that fit the DEK Vectorguard(TM) system. With the latest adapter technology from QTS, BEST can be your 2nd source for DEK Vectorgaurd(TM) stencils. They work just as well and reliably as foils produced by Vector Guard, but now you can get your stencil from BEST Inc.

Apshen`s aluminum cap and injection molded base fit onto the edge of stencil foils. They`re quick to attach and make a solid connection for the life of the stencil. The inward edge of the cap is beveled to a thin edge so as not to interfere with printing stepped stencil areas that may be adjacent to the outer edges of the foil.

Trivia Contest-April
April 2015

Steve Zanola of Cincinnati Electronics was the first to answer last month's trivia question regarding who was crushed by the imperial walker. The answer was Dak Ralter. There were a total of 9 people entered for the lightsaber drawing from last month.

In anticipation of the new Star Wars movie being released, we will continue to offer Star Wars prizes for all of the monthly winners. This month it is again a set of (10) Darth Vader wine charms. At the end of the year, all winners (right answer within (1) day of the question coming out, not just that months' winner) will be eligible to win a working light saber.
